Black Camel

This popular storefront on Crescent Road, just across the street from the Rosedale subway station, specializes in a variety of excellent sandwiches under $C 10. I quite enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich with chili red onions, while my friend like the brisket. Affordable drinks and other foods are also available.

Consistently great for more than a decade. The Camel catered the midnight snack at our wedding and all the guests loved it. I wish I still lived close by, I’d be there every day!

I used to regularly visit The Boar up in Davisville when it still existed. First tip of advice is make sure you come hungry because these amazing Kaiser sandwiches will FILL YOU UP. Today I tried their slow roasted pulled pork with their house BBQ sauce, and I literally downed it in 15 min. Such a tasty sandwich, and I really enjoyed the hint of molasses I tasted in the sauce.
